The Chicken Farmers 2nd Halloween
Today after carving the pumpkin. "I vant to bite you!!"
I loved and still LOVE Halloween its got to be one of my favorite times of year!! I just love being creative with my costumes.... My earliest master piece I remember doing with a lil help from my dad was in grade 4 or 5. He had a round cardboard box from something don't remember what but I spent a good two weeks working every nite on making my vision of R2D2 come to life...we had silver spray paint, tin foil, bright blue paper bits, even a big clear salad bowl for the top it was awesome!!!! It was my masterpiece. I won a prize at school and that was it I was hooked on trying to come up with my own creative genius's ideas every year. It was the first time I was ever really proud of my own accomplishments. Since then Halloween has always been fun, hanging out with friends going to costume parties...its funny I met a guy who is into Halloween as much as I am. before we were really together we went to the same events and he'd win best male and I'd win best female or best group.

Some of my best costumes have been an elephant which came from an upside down lawn swan with added paper masc he and ears.....a friend and I borrowed our wheelchairs from wheelchair basketball and made huge domes over them and went as a pair of eye balls it was pretty cool cause we glided across the floor. But I have to say now having kiddies of our own...this is the best!! I'm sooo excited to see her excited. The first Halloween she was a lil football player last year a chicken this year a bunny and a ladybug. Parker a cute lil bumble bee. I don't think they really care right now about Halloween but Doug and I enjoy the FAMILY thing....its just nice!
I'll have more pictures on the photoblog...
Happy Halloween All!!

What's the most serious accident or illness you have ever had?Again thanks to Annie for hosting!
I don't know which one to choose!! Not that I have had alot to choose from.....I guess its all on your definition of SERIOUS!!
I've been in two car accidents...1. hit black ice and rolled in the on coming traffic lane...but wasn't hit by oncoming traffic, wasn't hit by flying wheelchairs from the back of my SUV...truck did a 180' landed upright got out, shook ourselves off and... two cars behind me was a tow truck...off we went!!
Second car accident was my bro and I were driving home from Terrace and he asked me what some valley was called soooo I slowed down to look out the side window...then when I looked back we hit a moose. but if I wouldn't of slowed down the moose would of come thru the windshield instead of where I hit him...then the song on the radio came back on "its a wonderful life" and my bro jay and I just looked at each other!
Then theres the birth of my son...scary ordeal...thinking everything is going smoothly to finding out that your placenta has torn away from your uterus and the baby's life line has been cut off and you are still internally bleeding...but we were in the right place at the right time so all went smooth.
I think my broken nose takes the cake!!( I know its probably not a biggie compared to the last two...but the others were more SERIOUS..I felt comfortable and secure like I knew all was okay like God was there with me...but the NOSE that was a right hook I don't think even he saw coming!!) I was at a wheelchair basketball practice and we were playing hard in a scrimmage a teammate Dana had the ball and I along with two others were trying to steal the ball from him....he starts throwing his elbows around to break free of us and one hit the side of my nose ALL WE HEARD WAS CRACK!! I put my head in my lap and sat there a min...it happened sooo fast I really didn't feel anything. Everyone said look up look up and when I did I could tell by the look on my teammates faces that something wasn't right...it didn't bleed but apparently my nose was sitting on the apple of my right cheek!! Not a pretty sight! the worse thing is we go to the hospital they say "Oh we'll give you a shot in your butt to help you sleep and come back tomorrow afternoon to have surgery!!" Great....for 12 hours I was not a pretty sight! I told my dad and all he could say was "Shari why...your nose looked so good in the middle of your face!" Thanks DAD!!

Sorry Blogger won't let me upload the logo right now!!

I saw this on Jenny's site and had t do it!! Its fun and easy and hopefully will get me back in the blogging mood as I have sorta fallen off the wagon with what I want to write about!! Thanks to Annie for hosting it you'll find I added her to my side links, she also has some great recipes she shares too!! Anyway the question to answer is what was the most adventurous thing you have ever done?? I have to say i am abit of a dare devil....I caved as Jenny did, I've Ice climbed, para sailed but I have to say the MOST ADVENTUROUS was Sky Diving over the Swiss Alps.....it was exhilarating!! I was the only woman on the plane...The boys were freaking out and I was the last one to exit cuz at the time I was the littlest.....WOW..As I somersaulted out of the plane the guy I was attached to taped me on the shoulder and pointed to look....I caulked my head back only to see the plane nose diving with us a couple of 100 ft away!! it was AMAZING!! Having a birds eye view...the mountains, the town, the blue sky and me!! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!! I'll have to see if I can find some old photos to scan!! Thanks again Annie...What a great memory to recapture and feel!!
